Information and Rules

 
The following rules apply to Pacific Nanotechnology's monthly image contest:
  1. The award for the person that is able to correctly identify the sample used to create the AFM image will be an iPod Nano.
  2. If more than one person correctly identifies the sample, a random drawing will be made from contestants with the correct answer to select the winner of the iPod Nano.
  3. When no contestant is able to identify the sample, a random drawing will be made from all of the entrants in the contest. The winner of the drawing will receive the iPod Nano .
  4. Contestants may submit only one conjecture of the sample identity.
  5. All submissions to the image contest must be made within 30 days from the posting of the image on the Pacific Nanotechnology web site.
  6. Submissions must be made by email to Rhoda Becker.
  7. Please include your name and phone number with the submission.
  8. The award will be issued 40 days after the image is posted on the Pacific Nanotechnology Web site.
  9. An $50 gift certificate from Amazon.com will be awarded to the person that provides an image that is used in the Pacific Nanotechnology AFM image contest. Pictures used for the contest will be selected by PNI management.
  10. Direct relatives of employees of PNI may not be entrants. Persons directly associated with the person submitting the image for the contest may not be entrants.
